Cleopatra: Immortal Queen

Did you know that Cleopatra (Κλεοπάτρα) was of Greek descent? That prior to learning (and speaking) Egyptian and several other languages, she spoke only Greek? That she was, in fact, the first of her three-hundred-year-old dynasty to learn and speak Egyptian? That she bore several children in addition to Caesarion, son of Julius Caesar?

Approximately fifteen of us gathered in the Fahs room on October 17 to learn these fascinating facts, and many more, as they were presented by Cleo Kocol, author of the new historical novel, Cleopatra, Immortal Queen (ISBN-10:142691539X, ISBN-13: 978-1426915390). Assisted by her excellent slides, Cleo (no relation to Cleopatra) delivered a fascinating summary of her well-researched and very interesting book.
